 You are a Christian, but Achraf Hakimi is your marriage mentor—cos of his tactics, dey play, just dey play😂


Cos, if you have an iota of wisdom (1st Corinthians 1:24, Proverbs 8), you'll realise that his marriage is not & shouldn't be a Christian's criterion for marriage.


The Biblical marriage principles are clear:

1. Don't be unequally yoked. —2nd Corinthians 6:14


2. God is the surest builder of a home. —Psalms 127:1


3. Cleave to your wife. —Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5, Ephesians 5:31


4. Agree to walk together. —Amos 3:3


5. Your home should honour & reflect Jesus Christ. —Ephesians 5:21-33


6. Your cleaving is for a greater purpose. —Genesis 2:18, Proverbs 27:17


7. Your home should fulfill God's intended purposes for marriage;

  • Companionship (Genesis 2:18),
  • Reflection of God (Genesis 1:26-28), &
  • Legacy (Proverbs 22:6, Matthew 28:18-20).

In lieu of this I have to ask, dear believer of Christ Jesus, are you aware of these principles?

Are you Christ's follower?

If you are, why are you not applying these principles—in your quest for a future partner?

Why do you choose to idolise a marriage that does not have Jesus Christ as foundation?

Why are you an undecided believer? 
Yes, undecided. Cos if your decision to follow Christ is certain, you won't be wavering between two criteria.

Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and saviour, will be irrevocably your sure criterion. 

Remember, that by beholding, we become changed— 2nd Corinthians 3:18. Hence, it's imperative that we are intentional about what we behold.

So choose Jesus Christ (His gospel) as your ONLY yardstick.

The 'Reluctant' Saviour

  It's once again a season to remember our Lord and saviour Jesus, and many creatives have not disappointed in their display of the events of the season. One of such creative videos caught my attention, and as a writer  per excellence,  a lot of ideas are determined to be poured out. Bitter Taste of Christmas

  I can vividly remember 15/12/2010‎ like it was yesterday.  On the fateful evening of 14/12/2010, my youngest uncle had called to inform us that a group of foreign medical experts came to Orlu Teaching hospital, Imo state to operate on patients with goitre, and that he enrolled my grand-ma. Mama had being with this goitre for years and had previously objected to surgery. How my uncle convinced her to participate this time around is still a mystery to me. After receiving his call that day, I was delegated to travel to the village. I grudgingly accepted, not that I didn't want to visit mama, but I felt marginalised. Nobody considered my itinerary prior to the mandated visit. Because I loved my grand-ma so much, I agreed. And so on that fateful day-15/12/2010 I embarked my journey to the Orlu.
